With the 10-year Treasury yield moving quickly to roughly 1.80% and worries about the Federal Reserve taper and outlook on rate hikes – it’s no surprise that markets have struggled to start the year. But there are some pockets of the market that have held up better and some that have posted some nice gains. Value is outperforming growth.

Floating rate bonds are outperforming fixed rate and duration. Commodities are off to a great start, thanks in part to the price action of oil, and non-U.S., especially emerging markets, are outperforming the U.S.
